Kitsap County Recognizes Community Planning Month

Each year, the American Planning Association endorses National Community Planning Month as an opportunity to highlight how planning is essential and how planners can lead communities to equitable, resilient, and sustainable development.

To honor and recognize the valuable contributions made by planners within Kitsap County, Kitsap County adopted Resolution No. 140-2024 to designate October as Kitsap Community Planning Month.

Kitsap County is recognizing planning throughout the month of October and hosting an outreach event – welcoming planners and community members – a Book Club Workshop Event featuring the book “Paved Paradise: How Parking Explains the World” by Henry Gabar.
