South Sound Section
The South Sound Section is part of the Washington Chapter of the American Planning Association. Our members are professional planners from State Government, Local Government, and Private Industry who help build healthy and sustainable communities. The formation of the Section was driven by a group of Thurston County professional planners who wanted opportunities for continuing education, community interaction and networking closer to where we work and live in Thurston County. The Washington Chapter APA Board formally formed the South Sound Section in June of 2016 and appointed the inaugural officers. The South Sound Section geographical boundary is Thurston County.
