Upcoming Events

  • Urban Activism - Volunteers Needed: September 29 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Our SW Section will be taking over a Habitat for Humanity build site for the day. Please contact Sarah Fox with any questions and to sign up for the event.    
  • Planner’s Tour of the Port of Kalama. October 11th 3:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Following the tour, join us at the new McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge (5:00 – 6:00 p.m.)
  • SW WA Planners Forum: October 17th 9:00 – 12:00 p.m.
    • “Deep Dive into SEPA”. We will have an interactive session on how to update SEPA ordinances and use SEPA effectively.

Section Bylaws

The bylaws are the organizing and operating protocols for the SW Section. The most recent version was unanimously voted for approval on July 18, 2018.

Strategic Plan

The Southwest Section exists to support our members, to advance the planning profession and to make communities great. The Strategic Plan includes prioritized goals, strategies and actions items to be accomplished over a two-year period.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors meets for a conference call on the third Wednesday of every month at 12:00 p.m. except for January, April, July, and October when the Board meets at 12 noon at the SW Planners Forum (location varies).
