Upcoming Events

  • Planners Forum and General Membership Meeting October 30  (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
    Location: Fort Vancouver, O. O. Howard House (750 Anderson St., Vancouver, WA 98661)
    Membership meeting will follow the forum, so please join us for good food and a discussion on upcoming events.
  • Urban Activism - Save the Date (September 21) to join us at Columbia Springs.
    Columbia Springs is a fantastic 100-acre natural area in Vancouver. There is a wide variety of volunteer-powered tasks at Columbia Springs that we may tackle during our activism day. Typical activities include planting native plants, removing invasive species, trail maintenance, and improving the accessibility and safety of the site. Children 7-15 years old are welcome to volunteer with their parent or guardian. More details will be posted soon!!
  • Monthly Executive Board Meetings
    • August 21 12:00 pm — 1:00 pm (Conference Call)
    • September 18 4:30 pm  5:30 pm at Tap Union (1300 Washington St #200, Vancouver, WA 98660)
    • October 30 12:00 pm  1:00 pm (Location TBD) Will follow the planners forum and be combined with a general membership meeting.

Strategic Plan

The Southwest Section exists to support our members, to advance the planning profession and to make communities great. The Strategic Plan includes prioritized goals, strategies and actions items to be accomplished over a two-year period.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors meets for a conference call on the third Wednesday of every month at 12:00 p.m. except for January, April, July, and October when the Board meets at 12 noon at the SW Planners Forum (location varies).
