Announcing Anne Broache as Incoming President-Elect of APA WA

Congratulations go to Anne Broache, AICP, who was elected to serve a one-year term as President-Elect of the Chapter, after which she will serve a two-year term as Chapter President. Anne’s term will begin either on November 1, 2024 or – if a proposed amendment to the bylaws is approved by the members in October – January 1, 2025.

Anne Broache is an environmental planner for WSP USA with wide-ranging interests in transportation, land use, equity, health, and climate issues. Based in the Seattle office, she currently specializes in managing federal, state, and local environmental review processes primarily for transportation and land use projects in Washington and Oregon. Anne has served on the APA WA Conference Committee for the last two years and previously volunteered for the Conference Program Subcommittee and Communications Committee.

Originally from Baltimore, Anne started her career as a journalist and writer before completing the Master of Urban Planning program at the University of Washington and transitioning to the planning field on the community engagement side. She has called Seattle home for more than 15 years and continues to enjoy exploring all parts of the Evergreen State. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking (and eating!), reading, riding her bike, stand-up paddleboarding, gardening, making art (block printing and painting), hiking, and plotting her next travel adventures. She lives in West Seattle with her husband, AJ, and cat, Skye.
