Interested in Becoming AICP? The Chapter Can Help!

If you are thinking about becoming AICP, now is the time! The first thing you should do is to review APA’s guidance on 1) registering for the exam, 2) taking the exam, and 3) submitting your educational and professional experience to finalize your AICP membership. 

The next period during which the exam is offered is May 1–26, 2023. You will be able to register to take that exam between April 3^rd and April 27^th. The Chapter can help ensure you are prepared to take the exam before you register!

The Washington Chapter helps aspiring AICP candidates prepare for the exam by offering an intensive day of exam prep training (see APA’s exam prep guidance). Candidates should be studying now to take the exam this coming May. The Chapter-led training day was typically held in person on a Saturday in March in the Seattle area. We have not yet determined the best approach for this offering the training again in the post-Covid world – more to come on that soon in a future newsletter.
