Time to Consider Applying to the APA College of Fellows

Election to the College of Fellows is one of the highest honors that the American Institute of Certified Planners bestows upon a member. This honor recognizes the achievements of the professional who has made significant contributions to society and the field of planning. If you’ve been an AICP member in good-standing for at least 10 years and are currently a member of the APA Washington Chapter, you may be eligible for consideration for nomination by the Chapter. We’ll be looking for members who meet the minimum criteria and have also made outstanding contributions to the profession over an extended period of time. Please note that although the eligibility criteria is now 10 years as AICP, many successful FAICP candidates have a minimum of 20 years of experience as a professional planner.

The official call for applications will go out within the next few months but we wanted to get you thinking about your career as a planner and how you could be recognized as a member of the FAICP community. Be sure to look out for the application process coming to the WA APA Newsletter soon.

In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions.
