Urban Planning Conferences

Attending urban planning conferences is a great way to introduce students to the profession. This past year, dozens of Western Washington University Urban Planning students have attended the Washington American Planning Association (WA APA) conference in Vancouver, WA (fall 2022), the National Planning Conference in Philadelphia (April 2023), and the WA APA in Spokane, WA (fall 2023). These experiences expose students to current planning trends and issues, grow their networking skills, result in internship and work opportunities, and create strong cohort bonds. These opportunities are also expensive!
