5 Reasons Why You Should Attend the Scholarship Auction on October 12thBy Steve Butler, FAICPThe Student Scholarship Auction will be held on Wednesday, October 12th, at that this year’s APA WA Chapter conference in Vancouver. All of the Auction proceeds will benefit students at Washington's three accredited Planning colleges. This fun event will include a silent auction, a live auction, and more. Here is a small sampling of the many items upon which you will be able to bid: Half-Day Sailboat Trip
This auction item is a 3-4 hour day sail out of Olympia, WA for four adults. Story is a 36’ Cape George Cutter rig built and restored in Port Townsend Washington. She was born to sail around the world, which she plans on doing after 2025, but for now she enjoys regular day-sailing in South Puget Sound, hailing from the Olympia Yacht Club. This auction item is for up to 4 people (21+), with beverages and light snacks included. An agreeable date can be arranged for any time through June of 2025. Thank you to Kell Rowen for donating this wonderful experience! 4-night stay in in Moab, Utah. A 4-night stay in a 2-bedroom modern unit at the Moab Resort, a WorldMark Associate, in Moab, Utah. Dates are from Wednesday, April 19, 2023, through Sunday, April 23, 2023. This 2-bedroom unit sleeps 6 with 1 King bed, 2 double beds, and 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa. The spacious unit has an open main room area with various seating configurations, a full kitchen, a patio or balcony, and an in-unit washer and dryer. The Resort includes a fitness center, a pool, a BBQ area, and children’s play area. There is also the possibility of discussing alternate times and even locations with the donor. Enjoy arriving at the 'Greatest Setting' in College Football through a “sailgating” experience with veteran season ticket holders. This experience includes two tickets to a mutually agreed upon game for the 2023 season. This sailgating experience will include all beverages, and food for the most unique Husky Experience possible. Plan for your stay at the Clearwater Casino and Resort, Suquamish, WA. Located on the shores of the Salish Sea, this location was host to the 2015 APA NPC Mobile Workshop.
