Another month and another surprise turn, at least to me, in the pandemic's progression. This time (as of this writing and with fingers crossed), it appears to be for the better. There is talk in the air, and there are examples on the ground, of in-person public meetings, staff social events, and frantic searches for passwords and remotes for the conference room audio/video equipment.
The City of Mukilteo and Washington State Ferries were excited to open the new ferry terminal in December 2020. This site was a $187 million facility and was inspired based on Native architecture and interior artwork, energy-efficient, and seismically sound building design.
The 68th State Legislative Session has come to a close and we wanted to provide a few highlights and next steps. You may have weighed in on APA Washington Legislative Priorities in our annual member survey conducted last summer. We have held tightly to these priorities and reviewed a record 25 bills providing testimony, support, and comment letters on over a dozen of them.

The 2022 WA-APA Conference Committee has started to meet to plan the APA WA 2022 Annual Conference, which will be held in person in Vancouver this October 12-13.
