Let’s “Summit” Up!- The Second Seattle Youth Transportation Summit 

Back in April, 35 youth ages 12–19 joined SDOT and other community partners at the Vera Project to participate in the second Youth Transportation Summit in Seattle. From Queen Anne to Rainier Valley, and Redmond to Tacoma, these young leaders came together to show their interest in transportation and city planning, and to provide input on SDOT projects.

2025 Excellence in Planning Award Winner

The 2025 Excellence in Planning Awards were given out during the Planning Association of Washington (PAW) annual conference in Chelan on Wednesday, April 23rd, during the first evening’s welcome reception. There were six winners, with two ties, in four categories.

Event: City Discover Lab hosts the "Transforming Seattle's Waterfront, Transit, and Community"

City Discovery Lab is launching its first Washington State session, “Transforming Seattle, Waterfront, Transit, and Community,” this summer, August 2 to August 6. The program offers immersive planning-oriented city-based educational experiences (with AICP continuing education credits).
