The Puget Sound Section (PSS) of APA Washington is excited to continue a pilot scholarship program to support attendance at the 2026 Conference, October 7-9, in Vancouver, Washington. The program aims to support the pipeline of emerging planners, including students and early career professionals.

This year APA partnered with Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) to administer the 2026 APA Consolidated Election. Election ballots were distributed to email inboxes on August 5, 2026 and we look forward to receiving your vote. To ensure your ballot arrived in your inbox, please check your spam folder or add the following email address as an approved sender: [email protected]. Ballots will close September 4, 2026, so please make sure you submit your ballot on time.

Consider presenting to youth about urban planning. Certified planners can log up to eight pro bono planning service Certification Maintenance (CM) credits per two-year reporting period for increasing the public’s understanding of planning. Presenting to youth about urban planning is an excellent way to inspire the next generation and build awareness and understanding of the profession.

Congratulations to Brigitta Rehn for being selected by the University of Washington’s (UW Seattle campus) Department of Urban Design & Planning as the recipient of an APA Washington Chapter’s 2026 Student Scholarship in the amount of $3,000!

The APA WA Website Refresh Committee is looking for background images to add color and life to the new APA website. If you have an image that you feel represents APA WA, your jurisdiction, and/or good planning work and engagement, please submit it to Ajah Eills at [email protected].
