 Call for "Plan Slam!" Sessions

Although the call for sessions for the regular conference is past, we are continuing to consider Plan Slam! submittals.

Planners are invited to propose fun, educational, and thought-provoking short stories to tell their peers. This is your opportunity to share big ideas about the planning world in a short presentation, and in a highly visual (and entertaining/engaging) way.

We plan to host a Plan Slam on Friday morning, October 9, during the 2026 APA WA Conference in Vancouver, WA.

What’s Plan Slam?

  • Much like a PechaKucha (which is a trademarked name), presentations should be 20 slides, with each slide displayed for 20 seconds.
  • The whole presentation may be no longer than six minutes and 40 seconds. Slides will auto-advance after 20 seconds, so brevity and focus are the name of the game.
  • Presentations should make a quick impression and share something memorable and fun. We encourage you to use more images than words on the slides, and to ensure that your presentation is concise but intriguing, clever, and provides a fresh view on a planning issue.
