About Your APA MembershipDid you know…?In addition to the standard APA membership, there are several different membership categories that you should be aware of as you move through your career as a planner. Some of these member categories may enable you to pay a reduced fee and, depending on your circumstances, you may also have fewer AICP Certification Maintenance (CM) requirements. Student Membership – You qualify if you:
Benefit: Free Membership! Life Membership – You qualify if you:
Benefit: Reduced APA, AICP, and chapter dues and have two CM exemption options: 1) meet half the CM requirements, including the mandatory CM requirements, or 2) if you are a Life Member who is also retired, you are exempt from all CM requirements. Retired Membership - You qualify if you:
Benefit: Reduced APA, AICP, and chapter dues and a full exemption from Certification Maintenance requirements. Unemployed/In Transition Membership – You qualify if you:
