Application Period Now Open for the APA College of Fellows

The APAWA application process for nomination by the Chapter is now open. Please submit the completed Statement of Interest form by May 9th if you would like to be considered for nomination.

Legislative Committee Update

By the writing of this article in mid-March, we are into the second half of the legislative session and the first several rounds of cutoffs have passed. Only bills that have passed one or the other chamber are still alive for this session; bills that didn’t advance past their House or senate committee this year will still be eligible to move forward in 2022 though.

Passenger-only Ferry Service Study Complete

Puget Sound, Lake Union and Lake Washington

PSRC has finalized its feasibility study of passenger-only ferry service across 12 counties in Western Washington. The Washington State Legislature commissioned the study, directing PSRC to examine opportunities to expand passenger-only ferry service on Puget Sound, Lake Union and Lake Washington. Find out about the year-long study, including the potential routes and terminals reviewed, ridership demand, costs and use of alternative fuels, and electrification of the ferry fleet.
