2022 Fall Conference theme is “Keep Calm and Plan On”

Chad Eiken, AICP, Conference Chair

This year’s conference will be in person at the Vancouver Hilton Convention Center October 11-13. The conference theme acknowledges that planners are having to navigate through a period of unprecedented change and societal discord while continuing to advance important issues and address the ever-changing needs of their communities. Planners are meeting the challenges head-on, and the field of planning is more relevant than ever.

The conference committee is hard at work identifying potential keynote speakers, creating sponsorship opportunities, and planning for exhibitor space and social events.

The Call for Sessions will be released in early May, with a deadline to submit proposals by June 6. You are encouraged to propose sessions and mobile workshops that address any aspect of local and regional planning practice, but the following areas will receive special focus at the conference:

1)      Bridging the Housing Supply and Affordability Gap
2)      Planning for Inclusion and Equity
3)      Tackling Transportation and Mobility Challenges
4)      Advancing Climate Change Resiliency
