Call for Speakers!
Puget Sound Section EPIC Conference Call for Speakers: Applications due April 29, 2016 EPIC Conference: June 8, 2016
Be a Presenter at the Puget Sound Section EPIC Conference - June 8, 2016
The Puget Sound Section of the Washington Chapter of the American Planning Association is holding our half-day EPIC Conference at The Conference Center at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on June 8, 2016, from 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm.
The conference theme is not yet defined, so all proposal topics are welcome as long as they are current and relevant to the Pacific Northwest planning community, both private and public sectors. AICP credits will be provided for APA members. The Puget Sound Section is evaluating opportunities for certification maintenance credits for other professionals as conference planning progresses.
Conference Topics - Call for Sessions due April 29, 2016
The conference committee is seeking session proposals for the upcoming EPIC conference. Proposals should address a current, relevant topic that impacts our planning community in the Pacific Northwest. The proposal can focus on one or a combination of related topics, and should apply to both the private and public sector.
Proposals should be sufficient to cover a 20 to 85 minute session. Proposals will be selected to ensure the conference program offers a comprehensive, noncommercial, objective, and diverse treatment of issues. Attention will be given to diversity of presenters and geographic applicability. Session Format
The format for the conference will be conference hall style for up to 180 people seated at tables. An in-room computer with wireless mouse and keyboard, two drop down screens, LCD projector, and Wi-Fi will be available.
The conference committee encourages you to consider a presentation format that will engage your colleagues in discussion and learning beyond the simple dissemination of information. Suggested formats include small/large group discussion, interactive and/or scenario modeling, polling, or other alternative formats for participant engagement.
