Invitation to Bellevue Safe System Speakers Series Event

I want to invite you to attend the second of our two-part Bellevue Safe System Speaker Series reception/networking event and presentation by Dr. Jessica Cicchino, Senior Vice President for Research at Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. This event will be held at Bellevue City Hall (450 110th Avenue NE; Bellevue, WA 98004).

From 11 am – 12 pm, AAA Washington will host a reception/networking event with light refreshments (snacks/finger food) in the 1st floor concourse area of City Hall. From 12-1 pm, Dr. Cicchino will speak on Evidence-based Solutions for Safe Mobility. This presentation will discuss research from the IIHS on speed management and pedestrian safety and will highlight how effective countermeasures can be implemented across the system to tackle these roadway safety issues. Hear a preview of The City of Bellevue’s planned collaboration with IIHS on two Safe Streets and Roads for All demonstration projects to improve pedestrian safety at intersections.
