Recreating a Community Waterfront Destination

Session 1E | Wednesday | 2:45 – 4:00 PM (PT)

About the Session

Washington state's new, relocated ferry terminal and several vacant properties have created significant potential for Mukilteo's waterfront. As one of the primary landowners in the waterfront district, the Port of Everett wants to use its expertise in mixed-use waterfront development to champion re-development of Mukilteo's downtown waterfront coordinated across ownerships. This session will focus on the community engagement process techniques to ensure the interests of residents, landowners, the City and local tribes lead the conversation while still gathering feedback from tourists, ferry-goers and Whidbey Island neighbors.
