We are excited to have this year’s APA Washington Annual Planning Conference in the beautiful Puget Sound region! The Conference will be focusing on ways communities, agencies, local government, non-profits and private firms are jointly exploring shared objectives, providing tools, and recommending strategies for healthy and resilient communities.

The 2017 APA Washington Annual Conference features five tracks intended to highlight current trends, tools, and practices at the forefront of planning:

  • Nuts & Bolts: Planning tips, tools, methods, and career development
  • Resiliency: Building capacity to meet new challenges
  • Land Use Law: Updates, relevant case law, assessments, and trends
  • Connections: Collaborative solutions and innovative partnerships that connect people and places
  • Growth Management Act: Emerging issues and best practices

For more information on the conference sessions, please see our brochure. All sessions will qualify for AICP CM Credits.

The conference will be held at the Hilton Seattle Airport Conference Center. The Conference Center is located close to Link Light Rail and the RapidRide A and F Lines, which can get you to a Sounders game or out to explore other cities and neighborhoods in Puget Sound.
