Ukulele Planning Parody Concerto

Wednesday | 12:45 – 2:00 PM PT

About the Session

Retired former planning director Allan Giffen will share a series of planning-themed song parodies on a variety of planning topics, ranging from the dreaded short-plat to the language of planning, to theoretical growth targets, to planning history. Allan's songs are a staple at the annual Planning Directors conference in Chelan since 2014 when he surprised the group with "Friend of the Planning Director" to the tune of the Grateful Dead classic "Friend of the Devil." Allan has performed several of his songs at previous APA events.

Candidate songs for this session include:

"Fifty Different Kinds of Planners"
"Rainy Day Planner #12 and 35"
"My Heroes Have Always Been Planners"
"It's a Hard Job to be a Planner"  "Old Time Plans and Codes"
"Fire on the Jetty"and many other song possibilities
