SW Section Activities

Join us on third Thursdays in SW Washington!

Each month on the third Thursday, the SW Section of the APA hosts a variety of professional development and networking opportunities. We host quarterly planner’s forums in collaboration with the Department of Commerce and offer Lunch and Learns highlighting local topics such as a Portland State University urban planning master’s project or discussing design standards using examples from Ridgefield, WA. When we aren’t diving into professional development topics, we’ve been known to get together for some adventurous social networking activities like axe throwing, kayaking at Lacamas Lake, or even volunteering together for tree plantings and beach cleanups. Recently, we toured Vancouver’s beautiful waterfront park and new master planned development with tour guides from the City and Port topped off with a stop for ice cream at our newly opened Salt and Straw.

It’s easy to join in! Check our webpage for upcoming events: https://apawa.memberclicks.net/southwest-section. Or email us to subscribe to our updates: [email protected].

This month for our third Thursday activity, we’ll gather for social networking 5-7 p.m., June 20th, at Maul Foster and Alongi’s new office. Hope to see you there!
