Recognize a Star!

By Yorik Stevens-Wajda, APA WA President

One of my favorite parts of serving as chapter president is the opportunity to help recognize some of the people who have made a real difference in the workplace, for the chapter, for the profession, and for the people and the future of our state. At the annual member meeting in Spokane this year (Thursday Oct 12, right after hearing from Governor Inslee at the conference keynote lunch) I will be honored to present the following awards:
  • The Barbara Grace Award for a distinguished mid-level planner
  • The Myer Wolfe Award for professional achievement and advancement of the planning profession
  • The Robert "Bob" Burke Award for service to the APA Washington Chapter
  • The Eric R. Shields Award for leadership
If you have someone in mind who has distinguished themselves, please let me know! Send me a line before the end of September to [email protected] with the person's name, the suggested award, and a brief narrative. Thanks!
