APA Climate Change Work Group FormingBy Nicole Faghin Are you a local planner interested in climate change issues? Would you be interested in forming a community of practice to share information and ideas about how your community is or could be addressing climate change? As part of the APA Washington 10 Big Ideas, we developed information on steps to addressing climate mitigation and adaptation for Washington. We created a video and a series of discussion briefs on Planning Approaches for Resilience, Strategies for Planning Resilient Communities and Preparing for Climate-Related Events. What are the next steps? How can we support one another as we move forward to incorporate climate change issues at the local, state and federal level? If you are interested in this topic please contact Nicole Faghin, [email protected], 206.685.8286. Return to the November/December issue of The Washington Planner |
