Opportunities for Graduate Planning Assistantships at EWUEWU’s two accredited planning programs, a B.A. in Urban and Regional Planning (since 1968) and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP; since 1978) have great things happening in the areas of plan-making, sustainable community planning, transportation planning, environmental planning, and tribal planning. We have several funded grant and research programs in these areas and are looking for additional graduate students to take part in the learning, planning, and research opportunities they provide. We will have funding for a minimum of 10 Graduate Assistantships (GSAs) available in Fall, 2017. The GSAs provide full or partial tuition waivers (depending on students’ Washington residency status), as well as graduate stipends (salaries). Some positions may actually start in June or prior to the start of school on September 20. In that case, special training will be provided for those who start at that time. We encourage potential students interested in obtaining a well-respected professional planning degree to apply as soon as possible. Please visit the MURP website to review our admission requirements. To apply, first complete the EWU Graduate Studies Application. (The GRE is NOT required). In addition, please also complete the application for Graduate Service Appointments. Submit the completed GSA application directly to the address below: Dr. Kerry Brooks Please contact Dr. Brooks ([email protected]) with any questions on admissions or on the specific GSA appointments available. All graduate planning classes are in held in our beautiful space on the Riverpoint Campus located in Spokane, WA. All admitted students will be considered for these appointments, with decisions made in the first week of June, 2017. Return to the January/February issue of The Washington Planner |
