Job Duties: 

  • Performing/managing transportation-related studies and investigations;
  • Coordinating with other local, regional and state agencies on regional transportation;
  • Managing grant opportunities;
  • Preparing and updating various transportation plans;
  • Developing agendas and materials, and leading monthly meetings with advisory committees and elected officials.

Experience/Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills: 

Desired qualifications include;

  • a Degree in Transportation Planning or related field with four years experience in city, county, or regional planning;
  • Experience in conducting planning studies, and development of regional and county planning documents;
  • Experience in leading/mediating public meetings, knowledge of current trends in federal, state, and local transportation planning;
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and public presentation skills.
