Climate Initiatives Forum Webinar

Climate Initiatives Forum Webinar

The climate discussion in Washington state is heating up! With several legislative and ballot measures being considered this year, it is important to get accurate and up to date information about each one. APA Washington is hosting a webinar forum for our members across the state providing details directly from the sponsors about these important carbon policy initiatives. Join us on March 4th over the lunch hour to hear the latest and help APA Washington determine our position.

Get informed about the two climate initiatives in the works this year (Carbon Washington and the Alliance for Jobs and Clean Energy) as well as an update on other legislative efforts on climate change.

Their work recognizes and supports the relationship between thriving, healthy, equitable communities and the wellbeing of the environment. As such, they present their signature Livable Communities Awards every year to honor organizations, institutions and communities using innovative policies, programs or projects that exemplify smart growth principles and further their mission to protect natural resource areas and create healthy livable communities. Video Now Available for Chuck Marohn's Curbside Chat

The video of Chuck Marohn's presentation at the APA Washington-hosted Curbside Chat on January 6th is currently streaming on Youtube at Thank you to all who attended and made this such a successful event!

Q&A Webinar

On January 6, APA WA hosted a Curbside Chat with Charles Marohn, Strong Towns founder and President, at the South Puget Sound Community College in Lacey. We were honored to host this event alongside the Thurston Regional Planning Council, and over 100 members of APA WA attended.

Due to the interest and enthusiasm following Strong Towns presentations, Charles hosts a free monthly Q&A webinar. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions you weren't able to at the event or that have come up since the presentation. If you were interested in attending the presentation but couldn't make it, this would also be a great chance to learn more.
