2016 Joint WA/OR Annual Conference

Join us in Portland, Oregon this October for the 2016 Joint APA WA/OR Conference. Mobile Workshops are scheduled for October 26 and sessions for October 27 and 28. We hope you are able to take advantage of the many opportunities to learn from experts in planning in the Northwest, to meet old friends and make new ones, and to explore Portland. Visit the APA OR website to learn more and register.

The joint conference promises to be a worthwhile event with mobile workshops in the Portland area, the Vancouver waterfront, and out to the Columbia River Gorge scheduled. There are five learning tracks and over 40 breakout sessions, with time in between for networking, visiting exhibitors, and night time activities, including a pub crawl and scavenger hunt on Friday night.

Thursday’s lunch Keynote Speaker, Hazel Borys, will discuss “Urbanism in the Columbia Region: The Paybacks of Beloved Places.” For Friday’s lunch, Keynote Speaker Joe Minicozzi will speak about downtown development, with a presentation titled “The Dollars and $ense of Downtown Development.”

Tracks include Equitable Communities, Healthy People and Places, Innovation and Partnerships, Strong Professionals, and Planning the Great Beyond.

There is still time to sponsor the conference and reserve exhibit space. We hope to see you there!

To register, please visit the APA OR registration page. Take a look at the registration brochure for more information.
