Employer: Pierce County Parks Job Description: Project Management for the Parks Department on an extensive list of capital projects. This is a highly skilled and responsible professional position accountable for overseeing all phases of project management from concept to construction of park and trail facilities. An employee in this classification is expected to perform a variety of complex duties including reading, interpreting and responding to engineering, landscape, and architectural design plans; developing and reviewing budgets, obtaining permits, construction oversight, and contract processing. In addition, the position is expected to work with community interest groups and coordinate various funding sources and have the ability to develop creative solutions. The Parks Project Manager must have the ability to work with consultants, contractors, elected officials, other jurisdictions, general public and across division and department boundaries. The position is fully responsible for managing project scope, schedule and budget. Job Duties: Daily responsibilities include:
