Employer: City of Ellensburg Job Description: The City of Ellensburg has a vacancy for a Planning Manager. Perform highly skilled professional urban land use planning work involving long range and current planning, special planning projects, and perform supervisory duties within the Planning Division as assigned. Under the direction of the Community Development Director: performs professional planning work in the formulation, coordination, and implementation of long range and current planning activities; provides staff support to boards and commissions, City Council, other departments and divisions, and the general public; oversees the permit review process of the Planning Division; assists in the administrative duties for the Division; trains, plans, organizes and supervises the work of all Planners and planning support staff as assigned; implements quality controls for permit review processes and planning services. Experience/Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four year college or university in Planning, Geography, or related field; and four years of increasingly responsible professional planning experience plus one year in a lead role for a long-range planning project and one year in a supervisory role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Valid State Driver's License, or ability to obtain one; maintain insurable driving record.
