Join us to Discuss Pressing Issues Related to Columbia River

The Pacific Northwest has a great opportunity to continue developing solutions and partnerships related to our Columbia River. The Oregon and Washington Chapters of the American Planning Association have secured grant funding from National APA to host a one day meeting that will bring together planners, regulators, interest groups, tribal nations, and others from across the Northwest to discuss pressing issues related to the Columbia River. Thanks to a very good partnership between Washington and Oregon and good planning led by my counterpart at APA Oregon, Jeannine Rustad, Chapter President, the meeting date has been set – March 17th in Hood River, OR. We are planning for a crowd, and both governors of Washington and Oregon have been invited. We have reached out to an expert on Hanford and nuclear history, Dr. Robert Jacobs, as a potential keynote speaker. More information will be provided in future newsletters. Save the date!
